Hello again Mr Barnes,

Yes, it is me, the one who drew you up so sharply about the limner folding his chalk drawing.

I have nearly finished 'Nothing to be Frightened of' which I am enjoying a great deal, & this from a reader to whom books by old men considering death are not new; but unless you surprise me in these last pages I think I have an alternative to your list of 'good' deaths: to us creative men, lucky enough to be foolish enough to be excited for an entire lifetime by flying in the face of our own reason & insisting instead in considering our artistic product as having a worth of its own (providing satisfaction if not happiness), isn't dying while being distracted from our own extinction's horrors by the process of being a better writer, painter, musician, poet, as good a death as one can hope for?

With fond empathy,
Paul
