Definatly the Parenthesis.

Not a typical part of a novel.
Parenthesis means () or a break from the novel. he also suggests that he is narrating in person. "let me tell you about her..." makes the reader feel connected to the author. This may or may not be the case as he dicusses in this chapter...he also brings together all his themes in this chapter as a comparison for love. the bringing of the themes together joins the chapters and creates a novel. I believe. Definatly do this one.
Good luck!!!
Kat.
