As recentes fotos da Simone Regis no Miss Terra têm me surpreendido. Ela está muito bem. Como já disse, inúmeras vezes, acho a Simone bonita, mas comum. Constatamos em outros message boards, especialmente através da equipe do Mabuhay Pageants, que Simone Régis vem chamando atenção muito positivamente no Miss Terra.

Depois de um bom desempenho de Fernanda Tinti no Miss International, isto é motivo de satisfação para todos nós que torcemos pelas representantes brasileiras nos concursos internacionais.

Brazil-She was the most poised, in my opinion. She has also a very lovely face. Gerry Diaz should be credited for making her smile, ala Denise Quiñones (I just can't imagine her looking suplada.). Boyet Blas and I decided to play judges during the welcome dinner hosted by Tourism Secretary Richard Gordon. While we had different names in our list of favorites that evening, we agreed that Miss Brazil Simone Regis has got to be the Star of the Night. It was my first time to see her and she was many times more beautiful in person than in her pictures.

So far, she is the only candidate that was packaged completely as a beauty queen - from the perfect make up that even enhanced her lovely face, to her long hair that was beautifully styled and her very fashionable gown. She exuded the aura of a beauty queen that has already been crowned Miss Earth but without being overbearing. Her aura just grabs you and I couldn't help but stare at her. She has a very regal bearing and a nice, elegant walk. I observed her all night and everything seems to be in order - from the tilt of her head, to her smile, the way she leaned on the table on rested her chin on her folded hands and even the way she would put her hands on her lap while sitting.

During the presentation of the delegates, there was a slight drizzle. Miss Brazil excused herself from the group and went over to her table to get her shawl, ostensibly to protect herself from the rain. Without the aid of a mirror or anyone, Simone put the shawl over her head, wrapped one side around her neck and to her back while the other end draped her chest. I could not resist saying WOW! Without intending to, she stole the scene from the other candidates.

I share Henrique Fontes' observation that she would have made a good representative to Miss Universe or even Miss World. What was their loss is the gain of Miss Earth. Good Luck, Simone ! May you be able to sustain the favorable impressions that you have been getting from pageant observers.
