Checking out your website due to the upcoming 60th! Dad has some pictures of the band in 1948, some with names, places. Dad served in the band until @1958, then left for the band at West Point for two years and then returned in 1960 to serve as Librarian. I have a collection of postcards from all over the USA with pictures of the hotels you stayed in. Dad just turned 90 and would love to hear from anyone!

Was thinking of Harold this morning, when joining others for breakfast near the BWI Airport.

Judy/Mr. Domchick..
You may remember me as the tow head across the sidewalk from you guys in greenbelt; my dad, Paul Henry, was the announcer for the band for many years, starting around 1948 till the late fifties/early sixties. Dad passed away in the early 70's and its only been in the last few years I've been trying to find out more about his--and Mr D's--experiences in the band. For example, I remember the band had a Christmas record, a record that was part of my formative years...another was a recording of a typical show, that included a piece called The Song of the Infantry that my dad narrated...long lost.
Anyway, please give my best to Mr. D; he was always as kind and warm as could be with me (even when Hal Jr. and I got into some mischief!), and I'll never, never forget his smile! Best to all,

Alan

Hi Harold
I remember you well and am really happy to see you are still with us. I served with you in the band of 1957,58 and 59 and have written a book about our times together. The book is called "A Small Taste of Redwine"and can be purchased through my publisher Author House.Com by phone @1-888-280-7715 or at any large book store on request. It has many great stories of the concert tours we made and pictures of the band at that time. should you decide to read it I`d love to hear what you think of it and would appreciate your recommending it to all our buddies if you see fit to do so.

Best of luck to you and yours.

Carroll E. Redwine Alto saxophonist
