By the time that the hospital staff got skilled nursing facilities lined up for John on Monday, apparently his blood had thickened up overnight and so they couldn't discharge him after all.

The hospital discharged him this morning (Thursday) so he is home now and getting reacquainted with our dogs. Our 2 dogs was what John had focused on from the time of the stroke. I'm pretty sure that wanting to get home and see the dogs was his incentive to work hard on his therapy.

Thank you all for your kind words and supportive prayers. I know it was your prayers that helped sustain me this past week.
