I, too, am a grandmother, but also a genealogist doing family histories. At random, I tried to apply some Internet skills at locating information regarding your query. After so many years, it is possible that Robert Talley is deceased and that his wife Tammy may have remarried. Looking at the public Social Security Death Index on the Latter Day Saints site, I note that there are many Robert Talley's listed as deceased including some individuals that died in California with possible appropriate birth dates. I think that you can order the social security data directly by writing to social security.
Adam Talley is listed in California in 2004 in the Intellius section of the Switchboard address resources. You would have to purchase that data from Intellius. You may wish to check the name of Tammy Talley in Intellius also. I think you can find your grandson, keep looking and use the Internet. Happy Valentine's Day!!!
