Yes, Shane would deffinately remember me I don't doubt it for a minute, and my then Boyfriend, now Husband Terry.
I worked on reception at The Metropole, blonde hair, gap teeth - sounds nice... not!!
And of course he will be grateful to me for not selling my story to The News of the World - after all I was only 17.... only joking!!
I have packed everything I own as we are emigrating to Australia but sure when i get there I will send you copies of the pics. The video may be a bit more difficult as I don't know if I will be able to copy it when I am down there.
I will check it out anyway. I wouldn't send the original as its very dear to me and holds a lot of fond memories.
I have seen Shane in Grease a number of times.
Our friend Alan Brown (stage name Adja) still see's Shane now and again and said he would be really upset to know we had been to the Theatre and not gone and said Hello at the stage door but there you go, I prefer to leave things the way they were as I think I would be very shocked and upset if he didn't remember us!!
I didn't see Boogie Nights, just didn't fancy it to be honest although Shane singing and dancing was always when he was at his best. Me and Terry used to love a song he sang called 'All you need is the music' we always sing it now whenever we talk about him!!
We almost saw him in Blackpool a couple of years ago, I think he was playing Sunday nights and we were there Tuesday to Friday or something.
Ah well.
Keep in touch if you like, my other email address is
jasmin_sweeney@hotmail.com, thats proby the best one as I will be leaving work soon
Take care and if you see him say hi from me!
Nicki.
