I'm an American and take pride in my country while admitting it's less than perfect. While I don't think Bush is an idiot, I also don't believe he's even close to being qualified for the job of President of the United States. The head of any government must be, above all else, a leader...and Bush has no apparent leadership skills whatsoever.
Almost every President excels at some aspect of their job. Sometimes it's the economy, sometimes foreign affairs, sometimes initiating programs to address social problems here at home. Bush has exhibited no area of expertise and the current state of the nation shows it.
I’ve met people I’d trust with my life and others (often with the very best of intentions) I couldn’t trust at all. Bush falls squarely in this second category. Bush isn’t the first incompetent leader the world has seen and he won’t be the last. Hopefully he will fade into history without doing too much damage.
Europe has blindly chosen more than a few incompetent (and dangerous) leaders over the years, so they’ve hardly proven themselves qualified to judge any U.S. Presidents.
