I love America too, but what does that have to do with killing Iraqi citizens? The Iraqi people resent having their country invaded. Wouldn’t you resent having the U.S. invaded by a foreign military force because they didn’t like Bush?
If you think we’re justified attacking other countries but no one has the right to attack America back, you’re very naive. During WW2, the Japanese considered their attack on Pearl Harbor a justifiable military action. When we retaliated by bombing the Japanese mainland they considered it a criminal act, not an act of war. You’re applying the same double-standard to this situation. You are saying in effect our actions are automatically right and others are automatically wrong.
FACT: Since Bush took office couple of years ago; the U.S. mainland has been attacked and the U.S. economy has all but collapsed. The U.S. has spent billions attacking two foreign countries while, to date, achieving none of it’s objectives (redefining the objectives after the fact to turn failure into success is “spin-doctoring” and doesn’t work worth shit on reasonably intelligent people).
FACT: Also to date, there is no proof to support an argument that the invasion of Iraq is an act of self defense. There is no proof the people of Iraq were involved in 9-11, nor is there any proof at this writing the Iraqi people threatened us with weapons of mass destruction or support international terrorism. No District Attorney in the U.S. could hope to convict the Iraqi people of anything on existing evidence.
FACT: Saddam and sons are total assholes, but killing ANYONE’S Father, Mother, Sister, Brother, Husband, Wife or Child to get to them cannot be justified by any argument.
The people of Iraq are innocent until proven guilty. Like Bush, you seem to approve of shooting them first, then searching for evidence against them later. According to Bush logic (excluding the double-standard), if someone decides Bush is a criminal, killing anyone important to YOU in the process of getting to HIM is perfectly OK.
ONE LAST FACT: If Iraq retaliates, WE will no doubt call it an “Act Of Terrorism”, the rest of the World will consider it an act of self defense. Only a very small (and rapidly diminishing) percentage of the World’s 6 billion+ people buy Bush’s bullshit...I certainly don’t. The percentage of loyal Americans who disapprove of Bush’s “leadership” grows every day.
NOTE: The picture you paint of America is not altogether accurate, for one thing, last I heard, we didn’t have the World’s lowest infant mortality rate. It was actually inexcusably high -- particularly for lower income American families.
