"SNAP", thanks for the info, i have had the AA out, a VW dealer./agent charged me £400 for a new ignition block, distributor cap, wiper, ignition cables etc and 5 miles outside the garage, it died again, i can tell you what its not, any of the above.. so i like you am really frustrated but i'll have a go at the relay, i wonder if the agent would give me my money back if i can prove its the relay.. sad joke.
however ill try the relay and report back..
what gets my goat is that its a known problem but VW and or agents wont admit it or do anything about it, still when theres idiots like me who believe them and pay £400 why should they.........
