Because given a chance to show what you can do once arriving at a Division 1 program can drasticly improve your rating. It has already been said that Williams will most likely be the #1 JC PG this year. Nor was Kenyon Martin. I'd rather have a "I wanna be the best" attitude type player than the #1 player in the country who might be a prima donna. I'll take the guy with maybe a little less talent but more desire any day of the week! Do you think David West was highly rated in high school? Kenyon Martin? Steve Logan? Desire makes the #50 player beat a "no desire, lazy" #1, everyday of the week. Nick Williams didn't leave K-State because he wasn't any good......because he found out just how good he was against Big 12 competition and decided he wanted a shot at the Big Dance which he probably wouldn't see at a mid-level Big 12 program.
