Subject: Leader Dog Claire

Update from this weekend.

My dogs definitely do make me extremely proud. It is extremely hard to return them but when you meet the blind person and see what this means to them, how it changes their lives it's worth it. She is with a great young man James Ryan,(40's) who has been blind since age 20 due to diabetes. He had a kidney and pancreas transplant 15 years ago and said he hasn't been sick a day since. Claire is his 3rd LD, last one, age 12 is retired now as a pet at his home plus he has an Australian Shepherd, also age 12 plus 2 cats. Married and is an IT manager in a large hospital in Seattle. Claire has a great, productive life ahead of her. He has 4 brothers and one of them has 5 dogs adn two cats so a definite animal loving family.

Looks like an excellent match. He was born in England came to U.S. at age 8.

I am extremely pleased. Have been pleased with matches of all my past dogs but this one is exceptional I believe. With last two going to Spanish speaking partners I am so pleased this one speaks English so we can communicate more easily/frequently.
