People asked to stay away from Provos hypocritical commemoration

A wreath laying ceremony to commemorate the two murdered Mayors of Limerick planned for this coming Saturday by the Provos has been condemned by a member of the Ard Comhairle of Republican Sinn Féin.
RSF Ard Coimhairle member Timmy King from Limerick said the event by Provisional Sinn Féin is an exercise in political hypocrisy and he appealed to the people of Limerick to stay away.
"The Provisionals say they are commemorating the murders of Mayors Clancy and O'Callaghan in 1921 by laying a wreath," said Mr. King, "But we must not forget that the two men were murdered by British Crown forces.
"The Provisionals now share Westminster offices with those responsible for murders like those of Clancy and O'Callaghan. The Provisionals decommission at the behest of the British - the British murdered the Mayors of Limerick - this wreath-laying is another sickening exercise in hypocrisy by the Provisionals.
"We are asking the people of Limerick to stay away - this wreath laying does not honour the murdered Mayors - instead it tarnishes their memory - because they stood up against the might of the British and they did not decommission.
"The Provisionals cannot continue to masquerade as if they are Republicans - they have decommissioned and entered the Palace of Westminster - the only honourable course for them is to stay silent and take payment from the British Crown."
