I agree with Diathi and must point out that it was NOT the Mafia in the United States who felt the necessity to drop the Atomic Bomb in Japan. How many "innocent" Japanese died as a result?
What of the "innocent" who died as a result of Allied Bombing of non Military Targets during World War 2. eg Dresden? Did Germany not do likewise? Is this not the nature of war or are we to deny there is a war?? I think not!!
Please explain this Carol Anne!!
When Germany occupied France, what were the French Resistance, were they Terrorists or Freedom Fighters, Traitors or Patriots?
Who is and who is not a War Criminal depends on who wins does it not? Would Margaret Thatcher not be seen as a War Criminal by the Argentinians?.
Did she not order the sinking of the Belgrano? A ship that was NOT in a War Zone and was in fact sailing away from it. Did she not instigate the Falklands War to further her own political career?
Maybe the answer to all of these questions depends on which side you happen to be on, whether you happen to be the oppressor or the oppressed.
On the other hand, maybe, you really don't give a damn as long as it's not you that has to suffer under the tyranny of an unjust system of law, you just want to get your uninformed opinion in. I do not class the Gutter Press, (if that is where you get it) as being informed opinion.
The fact is, because of English Rule, one of the biggest exports out of Ireland and Scotland, for centuries has been their indigenous population.
They have set out to destroy our culture and our language etc. They have none of their own!!
They are a Bastardised people with a Bastardised Language.
No I am not being hysterical Carol Anne, it is a statement of fact, the English Language is derivative of many true languages. Just check any English dictionary.
I believe in the struggle to unite Ireland, ONE NATION.
The Tragedy in our struggle for Freedom is that we have allowed ourselves (Catholic and Protestant)to be manipulated, by the English, into fighting each other in the name of defending our own particular Religion rather than standing together for Freedom for us all.
This is NOT an unusual situation, Rulers all over the World, throughout History, have used the Religious Beliefs of those they oppress as a means to divide them from a common cause
I wrote a song called "Extermination" which can be heard on
www.embark.to./FREEDOM.
It points out the contradiction in the promotion of violence, in the name of Religion which really clouds the issue, creates division and detracts from the cause of FREEDOM from oppression.
I sometimes wonder if in writing this song it can be taken out of the context in which it is written. from emails I receive I sometimes think that it is.
It is obvious to me that they have not read the quotations I have in the Artist Page under the song title. Either that, or they do not understand what I am trying to say.
ie. whilst the Song points out how ludicrous it is to fight in the name of Religion, the quotations are to show how sometimes we are placed in a position with no choice.
eg
