Just a quick note to say I went back to Guys Marsh Borstal which is now a prison and parked up to see where I had legged it from!
The area hasnt changed one bit apart from the place itself. The huts of the Borstal have gone and are replaced with brick buildings and a high perimiter fence.
When I was there in 1978 we just had nissan huts and a fence about 2foot high!
The road where I legged it to is still the same, even the place I legged it to hasnt changed! It was a real blast from the past to drive around there, it was all so real.
Anyone in Guys marsh 1978 - 1979 please get in touch
