i was in lowdham in may 1980 not for long mind as it was an open borstal and i was a bit of a runner, after being allocated in strangeways we all hopped on the coach well more like some old wreck i think it was the same one they used to take you to church in on a sunday, when we arrived i can still remember some lads standing around singing we wish you a merry christmas the first thing i saw was the clock the second thing i learned was swamp and if you have been there you will know what it means i cant remember what house i was in but it was 25 years ago and i was not there long, when i did run off it was a half hearted affair me and a mate legged it across the fields the guy who was with me was a half caste from wilmslow any way two screws caught us in the trees not far from the main road after being down the block for a day or so i got weighed off with what ever and told if i tried it again i would go back for reallocation which meant fuckall to me,i did try again after having a lie down in the block.any way times have changed my life has changed but the same character lives inside me but i dont need him anymore but i can still switch it on good luck do yer bird
