 I was in Everthorp Borstal 1968 , 1969 yes you were allowd visits from family and they were allowd to keep ther hand bag and walets i know because we used to smuggle 10p peaces in because in them days you were paid in cash but only in 10p peaces.
At Christmas you were allowd a 10lb food parcel and 2oz of tobbaco if you require any more info dont esitate to ask Regards
