I was in Foston Hall DC when I was 13, which makes the year I was there approx 1960. Spent 6 months in absolute misery and terror. I recall getting up dead early, a red hot cup of unsweetened cocoa in hand and going into the courtyard for exercises. Apart from polishing/scrubbing the floors there, I don't recall a lot else. Getting senile now. There used to be a 'screw' called 'Scottie' he was a right cunthead. Just one of the many sadists that worked in that place. I was a schoolkid then, and we had to be given some education, and I remember one particular teacher who maintained to us that "a woman cannot be raped, as her physiology prevents any penetration during an attack"
What a crock. I was taken to the railway station by the 'govenor' on release, after 6 months, but they were not going to release me even then, due to a load of fresh scars on my mush, after a fight with some nutter the week before.
I remember two lads: One named Burns, the other's name I cannot remember, one tall, black hair, one short, blonde hair, they did a bunk over the double fence, and got cut to fuck on the barbed wire. They got dragged back and the 'screws' beat the shit out of them with wet towels, and rubbed road salt/grit into their wounds.
The idea of Detention Centers for quick sharp shocks opened the doors to many frustrated evil Nazi twats. They loved to kick the shite out of youngsters, even in reception. And cutting hair! Let's call it yanking out by roots!
