Issued with new stuff? Cos it's a film not a documentary.
If you look through the site you'll see that most of the posts are from older guys doing borstal in the 60's and very early 70's. I think lucky that you did yours late on, by which time the social workers had arrived on the scene. People were literally beaten to death in jails not very long ago and for many it was a matter of survival.
No disrespect mate, we lived in a different and brutal world.
I went on to armed robberies, (14 yrs), so it didn't sort me out. I had to do that later myself. Never mind 'Scum' and 'Borstal boy', try 'McVicar' for good old fashioned fun.
