Subject: I read all three in a week. Have to say I enjoyed reading them once I got beyond the poor writing style, the teen-age dialog, and the mix of Brit/US slang. The sex was repetitive and not shocking at all, IMHO. Other than the 'red room' it was pretty tame/mundane stuff - not at all innovative. I enjoyed the story although I felt the ending was predictable. I was in the middle of my re-read of the BDB books in preparation for Lover Reborn. I followed the 50 shades books with the first 3 of J R Ward's Fallen Angels books, which I loved. So . . . after this long confusing post, I would enjoy hearing more of the 50 shades story from Christian's viewpoint but have to admit I much prefer the BDB and the Fallen Angels. Guess that means I prefer big ageless vamps dressed in leather to neurotic young billionaires who think they invented sex. Fortunately, there is room for many kinds of books and I enjoy having the time to read a varied selection. *G*
