Subject: I made it!!!

I made it through another year end with having to hurt someone!! Yay me!!

We have had gorgeous weather here and it's feeling like spring. I'm not going to get my hopes up too high, this is the Rockies and things could change in a heart beat. So are things warming up where you are?

I know there are some exciting things around here.

We are all glad to hear Leo is doing better. How are YOU doing Hedy?

Congratulations Maria on your new job!!! I'm so happy that all your hard work is paying off now. I can't wait to hear all about it.

Jodi, I'm so jealous of your Monaco/Italy trip. I've always wanted to go to Monaco. (and Italy).

My 1/2 sister is getting married this summer so I'm going to have to use my holidays to go to Vancouver. So no spring holiday for me again this year. I am planning on Mexico in Nov, I can look forward to that.

What's exciting in your world?

[> Congrats on not killing anyone! Sorry about the vacation but you'll have fun in Vancouver and Mexico in the fall is just as good, as you know. Hang tight there, sister! Fun news coming out of my world is Nate's school won a fundraising goal set by Rick Mercer so they get a visit from the Rick Mercer Report within the next couple of weeks! I'll let you know when it's going to air or post a link or something. I'm sure it will be funny, I love that guy! Haven't booked shit all for my trip because I can't decide where to go after Monaco....Venice or a tour of the west down to Rome. My brother wrote out an itinerary for me and it has us gone four days more than I thought acceptable to leave the kids. But his looks so awesome...Portofino, Florence, Siena, San Gi-something or other and then Rome and Pompeii. I can't decide so I haven't booked. I truly can't decide. Venice we can come home earlier....but I don't really want to. *g* -- Jodi YoB, 09:51:49 03/13/14 Thu

[> [> I got so cracked up with your "stranger rant" on the Polls board. Too funny. I scream that shit from my car all the time but no way could I get out in this area. I'd be shot. Sad, but true. Cool about your trip. The boys will be great, ENJOY!!! -- Tam, 09:54:52 03/19/14 Wed

[> Congratulations Cherie and Big Cuddos to Maria and her new job. We changed the clocks and the weather improved drastically. Today I'm going to a friend's, and former boss, to fit her pattern for mother-of-the-groom dress. Otherwise I have been busy with committee work for our quilt show in May and getting my quilts done for said show. This summer we are painting the house, ugh and perhaps revamping the whole garden area. I'm really not very enthusiastic about such a big physical job which will take all summer I'm sure. We were thinking of going on a leisurely trip to the east coast but I think all the holiday money will be spent on massages. -- PD, 09:52:07 03/13/14 Thu

[> Snow yesterday and Im guessing the last of it, we are moving into 40's finally tomorrow for good I hope. Im usually in flip flops end of March. OMG Kenny is like having a small child and keeps me cleaning! Can't wait for the mud to go away. Brian has been working like a dog lately so I used points and some gift cards and got free tickets and hotel at Disney in May, going the day after Collin gets back from school. I had a great year with graphics and jewelry... this Starz Series has been great. :) My goal this summer is to get the deck stained and some rotten woold replaced/painted outside. Thats about it. :) -- M&M, 15:48:06 03/13/14 Thu

[> Plans are to head out in our motorhome this weekend, driving south until we hit shorts and t-shirt weather and palm trees would be nice too. We hope to be gone for about 4 weeks, then there's lots of medical appointments for my mother, as there have been lately. I need a break from hospitals and clinics for a little while! -- Denise, 22:00:51 03/13/14 Thu

[> I'm pooped! Been doing a ton of subbing and my last pay cheque was $173! That's cause for the 2 month temp job I did last spring I filled out a form so they would take an extra $500 off a month so I wouldn't get hit with a big tax bill. I started subbing again in November (after Italy;-) and, after getting paid a whopping 200 bucks, I realized the extra tax deduction was still on and applied to EACH pay cheque. (Temp teachers get paid once a month - subs get paid every 2 weeks! I promptly filled out the reversal forms and faxed them in. They said it would take 1 to 3 pay cheques to kick in. Fine. I finally called pay roll again this week and they can't find my forms so today I had to fill them all out again! We've had grandchildren sleepovers every weekend - which I love but it is tiring. We're driving to the island early next week and I'm looking forward to the break. I hate to sound so negative - I'm happy, really . -- M.F., 00:52:06 03/14/14 Fri

[> Other than the whirlwind of getting ready for the new job, DD leaves for Disney with her school marching band on March 28th, so getting her ready for that. DS is home on spring break this week and I'm forcing him to go to the doctor later today - he's had signs of depression fo a while but refused to go, this time I'm dragging him. Also have emails in to his academic adviser as he's having issues with school too. Fingers crossed he hasn't burned any bridges - concerned about his GPA etc. Trying to get all appointments and shopping done this week as after Friday I'll be working days, which will be SO weird! -- Maria, 08:52:46 03/14/14 Fri

[> Dave's mom only has a few weeks left, but he's spent time with her, and is as ready as he can be. My identity was stolen through a data base in our Archdiocese (so Amanda and Dave's probably too.) They used my SS# to file taxes, but not Dave's or Amanda's - not this year at least, as the helpful IRS Fraud guy told me. The FBI is on it though, so hopefully my SS Retirement isn't compromised. Fortunately as a teacher, I have barely a moment to think about this duing the day, so although all of this is crazy, life is good. -- Debra Mc, 15:12:17 03/19/14 Wed
