Subject: Sending vibes to everyone....

Wanted to send calming vibes to Tam for her biopsy tomorrow, recovery vibes to Josie, and big virtual hugs to Hedy and Leo, Maria and the new job, Betsy and real estate, and everyone else who is sick of winter and READY FOR SPRING!

Hope it's ok to start a new post, I know I'm mainly a lurker over here, and I was too lazy to keep scrolling back for updates :)

[> [> [> HOUSE --New agent is great but no offers. We have had more showings. Tired of cleaning! We are priced 20,000 under what we paid and are offerring a 5,000 allowance for a kitchen remodel, it needs it bad but I won't put in countertops and floor that someone will rip out. There are 15 houses comparable to mine in 2 mile radius; 3 have sold in the last month 2 on my street have offers. Comments include shows great! don't like kitchen don't like no back yard! (we have two huge side yards! My kitchen sink window overlooks one of those yards!) We have made our own marketing materials and have those out on the table as well as the realtors highlighting the advantages of our house! It is CRAZY and meanwhile in Massachusettes the market is so bad it is almost pricing us out of living there! Does this sound familar? It is like deja vu for me! Anyway enough about us! One other thing inside>> -- BetsyG, 10:17:48 04/08/14 Tue

We have a mutual friend that is hurting and she used to be part of this board and I think drifted away due to losing the link. I am going to send Isabelle Mulligan the link to here don't know if she will post but I know she could use the the kind caring support we give and I won't say why that is for her. Blessings effers Love you all!

[> How kind - and how very much I appreciate you all! >>>>> Come on in for the 'scoop' -- Hedy, 11:28:35 04/05/14 Sat

After WEEKS of intense antibiotics to try to 'dry up' that original surgical site, it seems to have worked. There is still a bit of output, but, nothing like it was. We still have a nurse in to do dressing changes every 2nd day, but, I no longer have to do it in between their visits (that's how much output there was)... so THAT IS GOOD! Coming off those antibiotics too, his energy is improving, his taste buds are returning to normal. So he's more active and eating better. ALL GOOD!

We're scheduled for pre-admissions Thursday, and Friday he goes under the knife to remove the lower right lobe in his right lung! The surgeon assures us it is a relatively easy surgery, but, he also informed us that the last CT Scan shows a spot on his left lung now too. So it's (probably) spread to the lung, as well as the liver.... We have to get him through this next surgery and healed up ASAP to get him back in shape for CHEMO! That is the only solution we can think of to PUSH BACK the demon fucking cancer. We have an appointment with the Chemo Doctor three weeks after the lung surgery, so, here's hoping.

Meanwhile, we are trying to enjoy our days - getting out on the bikes, day trip to the island for the day yesterday (amazingly 'normal' for us), and so forth! He's got a BIG project he's working on... He's got 40 years of family slides to view/sort/and then save electronically (he bought a special piece of equipment for that) which will digitize and enhance the slides. BIG PROJECT - but he's happy doing it!

As for me, I need to work on a few things - I have to get physical - I am failing miserably and feeling like crap as a result. I need to STOP DRINKING! There, I said it 'out loud'... I have been leaning on my nightly adult beverages and I know that's contributing to the weight, and sense of 'sloth'! I have to talk more honestly (like here and now) to people and what's going on and not push them off when they ask about ME. Which I do. Chronically. Most days though, people don't even know I'm here. It's really all about Leo, and I realize he needs the support, the care, the interventions for his health. Actually, his Daughter Karen is one of the few people who SEES ME! And she's wonderful at it!

I sleep alone in a king-sized bed. I kiss my Sweetheart good night (in our front parlor on his loaner hospital bed) and climb the stairs to my lonely room EVERY NIGHT since Nov. 6th.

Hope this isn't TOO much information, but, there it is in black and white!

Love and THanks for continued care, support and prayers - most days we DO feel them - and I believe with more of the same - we will get through this!

[> You're all in my thoughts, every day. ;) Extra vibes going out to Hedy and Leo, and to Tam. The job is good, everyone has been very helpful and complimentary, and I haven't killed anyone yet so I think they like me. :D So glad Josie is feeling better, and good luck on the housing front and graduations and I _think_ spring has FINALLY sprung, so a big woohoo for all of us! -- Maria, 10:42:06 04/07/14 Mon

[> Very good to hear Josie is back on her feet - poor kid! Hope the biopsy went well, Tam. Great news about the job, Maria - of course they'd like you, you're darn good! Hedy, I think about you and Leo all the time. If you ever feel up to a little break across the water just let me know. A float plane from Richmond would have you here in 20 minutes. -- M.F., 15:47:01 04/07/14 Mon

[> Thanks for the vibes y'all. It went ok. A few minor fuck ups from one of the radiologists involved. She "touched" the computer and lost all the pre biopsy X-rays that they'd just taken. So, had to retake the mammograms to get the needle position correct. Anyway, added about 15 minutes to my laying in same position with my boob in a whole in the table. lol Then the lidocaine didn't exactly numb me enough for the last 3 bites of "mass" All together not horrible but I wouldn't volunteer to do it again. LOL I will know the results in 7-10 days which puts me in Disney. Figures. But, what better place to hear news than the Happiest Place on Earth! When I know I'll let y'all know. HUGS n MWAHS all around!!! -- Tam, 20:10:40 04/07/14 Mon
