In reply to: thousnd_miles 's message, "Canada concert cancelled!!!" on 01:47:36 08/31/02 Sat

>Uy, di raw natuloy si Reg sa CANADA.. cancelled raw
>ang show and mukhang may kinalaman ung mga pruducers.
>hmmmmm... no ba yan lagi nalang nabibiktima si Reg ng mga cheaters.

I read some of the post in other lists and it seems the producers are giving out the wrong info in Canada. It appears that they're telling people she's sick.....and that the abrupt cancellation was Regine's fault.

If Canadian fans are reading this post, please help pass around the info that the real reason why the show was cancelled is because they didn't pay Regine! It appears that they've (Regine's camp) been waiting for a partial downpayment as this is stipulated on the contract. That payment never materialized.

So at the last minute, they had to cancel. The bad thing is, they say the concert's sold-out. Some Filipinos from the US travelled all the way to Canada to see her. And all they can tell these people is "Regine's Sick." The producer's telephone lines were disconnected (on purpose) daw and so at present, ticketholders can't ask for a refund.

I hope the producers will try to do something to rectify their mistake. Dapat lang! Nakakahiya sila!

to all our friends in canada.

i think none of us could ever blame regine. i asked patty a few weeks ago
about their plans for canada and US and she told me that they have no
updates from the organizers. the artists, especially regine, is always the
last to know about anything and everything that has been going on. they
always wait on the words of the organizers since they could not make any
moves until they hear from them.

but this i am sure, regine has been rehearsing for her toronto and winnepeg
concerts these past few days. they were really looking forward to the canada
tour, excited even. they were just holding back until they get the partial
payment due to regine and company, which was also stated and agreed upon in
their contract (at least, from my understanding).

not blaming the organizers, but i think they owe the ticket holders the
truth. from what i've read, most of you who called jobee were told that
regine was sick. we all know that regine would still perform even if she was
down real bad. it's such a shame that they would lie to those who trusted
them with the most reliable of all information. and now they're avoiding
everyone. trust me, they would be coming up with some damage control real
soon (but i hope it would not be on the expense of regine).

so, for all of the RVMLers in canada, i think, it would be best if some of
you print out the email sent by karen and help disseminate the word that
regine is not to blame for the cancellation of the concert. it is not
regine's obligation to inform you of the cancellation, but the organizers'.

i hope you guys can help regine spread her apologies to the other
ticketholders. take care.

from what they are saying to the people, that's the producer's alibi..
there's an RVMLr in Canada who tried to call the producer but the phone they
cut their phoneline. this is what she wrote:

>What makes me more angry is that Im trying to call the producers now...just
>before i write this email...and the phone is already "CUT" as in "CUT" no
>dialtone, no busy, no voicemail, just an open line...was all these
>intentional by the producers?

now, the producer is in hiding already. like what i said in RVML, the
sponsors in canada should make legal action asap before that producer leaves
Canada with all those money. now, this producer is telling people that
Regine is sick, he/she wants it to appear like it's Regine's fault. well,
too bad for you.. you.. hmp. Shame on you!!! makarma ka sana agad!

it's a good thing that Patty and Regine thought of Karen to post the
message at once. but what about those non-rvml fans? they also must know
what really happened. rvmlrs canada should let this info out. now, this news
is a good thing to spread unlike other tsismis that was roaming around
before.
