"Viewers complain of 'too revealing' outfits of Zsa Zsa, Regine, censor say..

Singers Zsa Zsa Padilla and Regine Valasquez wear outfits that are "too revealing", and television viewers are complaining because their attention is diverted to "unnecessary things." That is according to the Movie and Television Review and Classifications Board(MTRCB). The censors have warned Zsa Zsa, host of "Born Diva" on ABS-CBN, and Regine, of "Pinoy Pop Superstar" on GMA7, for wearing "improper" outfits on TV. A memorandum signed by MTRCB chair Marissa Laguardia told the two networks to advise Zsa Zsaand Regine to wear "appropiate attire". The memo noted that the two host-performers have been observed to wear outfits that are "too low" and "show their cleavage," just like what they wore during Oct. 9 episodes of the talent-search programs that they host.
Laguardia said the two host violated the parental guidance classification on TV when they wore clothes with "neckline that plunges down to the abdomen, showing almost the entire breast." "We have been getting complaints from viewers for two months now,"Laguardia told INQUIRER Entertainment in a telephone interview last friday. "But we got the most number of complaints that Saturday(Oct.9), so we decided to release the memorandum." Laguardia said Regine's outfits first drew protest from viewers. But Zsa Zsa's attire last Oct.9 provoked the biggest number of complaints that particular week."Born Diva', shown on prime time, makes such kind of attire improper", Laguardia said in a letter to Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN senior vice president for TV production. "It violates the Parental classification for television. "Please be reminded that Ms Velasquez is a role model to many youngsters with impressionable minds,"the MTRCB chief also told Jose Mari Abacan, GMA7 program manager. "If we allow young ones to copy their idols, let us then ask these idols to show the proper example. Please remind Ms Velasquez to wear attire that is appropriate for an early evening prime-time show." Laguardia said she has personally spoken with Vidanes, who promised to "inform" Zsa Zsa of the MTRCB memorandum. Laguardia quoted Abacan as saying he "appreciates the MTRCB's concern for the artist."
"Zsa Zsa and Regine are beautiful in their own graceful way", Laduardia said."They don't need to wear outfits that are too revealing.I know that outfits like these are in fashion today. But these only divert the viewers' attention ton unnecessary things."

lol.

It was necessary. That's where Regine has been keeping
her cue cards and the p20,000.oo she offers near the
end of the show.

mmJun ;->

It'll only be concerts and award show nights where
we get to see some of them fab looking dresses?

So be it then.

TOO MANY COMMERCIALS ON TV!!
When are viewers going to complain about too many
commercials? Which by the way.. watching tv tonight..
had one commercial with the girl bending over left
and right showing off her breasts everywhere.. And
I can't even remember what was the product they
were suppose to be selling in that ad. I doubt
it was her..

The difference there is Regine isn't doing it to turn on
her young viewers.. (just her older ones. lol..) And
that commercial for all intents was/is meant to
be a total turn-on. But that's the way the backward
inward ball bounces in our country's televison scene
today.
