SOP had a superhero theme again this Sunday. It started off with the hosts in costume. Ogie wore a Spiderman costume. During his opening number, the web structure he was holding fell down. Tsk... tsk... poor production design. Reg and Jaya came out wearing Catwoman costume. The rest had shirts with the same theme.

When the hosts had their usual opening chat, I knew that Reg wasn't in her usual fun mood. She was hiding at the back of Ogie. And her laughter was kinda forced. Jaya & Ogie congratulated her for bagging the best female concert artist award in Aliw. Lea won the Entertainer of the Year. I thought, where was Lea last year?

In the "To the 4th Power" segment, I was impressed by Kyla interpreting the song, "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing". Good thing, SOP is showcasing this girl's talent. Medyo disappointed ako because she shoul've belted out the last note.

2 Birthdays treats: Carmina and Tanya. No comment here.

Michael Garcia, the first Pinoy Pop Superstar, sang his winning pieces with Ogie and Janno. He didn't speak afterwards.

Rufa Mae was very HOT in her solo dance number.

In B2B2B, I was glad Reg rendered Alicia Keys' "If I Ain't Got You". Something fresh from the Songbird but no oomph! She didn't even smile when the hosts joined together for their final bow.

Something is definitely bothering her.

I beg to disagree. Regine was very good with the Alicia Keys' song. She made the song hers even she didn't belt. The song doesn't require it anyway. The problem is that we always expect her "signature belting."

As expected ... JAYA, JANNO AND OGIE were out of tune.

I liked Regine's rendition of "If I Ain't Got You". Very Regine ang pagka-kanta nya. Appropriate lang ang riffs nya at konting semi-belting. The other 3 though needs to up their performances. Regine seems to be the only one redeeming that segment. They should have placed her last among the 4 last Sunday. And yes, I also enjoyed Kyla's "I Dont Want....". And I didn't mind her not belting that last note at all. That would be too much Regine copying if she did that. I like Kyla's performances in SOP lately. Dapat lang if they want to compete with ASAP's champions segment. They should really move her and Jay-R na to Bak2bak2bak, and move Jaya and Janno to Bak-tigbak-tigbak, LOL.

JUN, i watch abs-cbn shows and gma clips from the internet. ABS CBN has a very nice website where you can watch most of their shows for a minimal fee. The connection is crisp and clear for the abs-cbn channel but not for gma. Regine will really get good exposure if she is a kapamilya!
