She did a good rendition of Love Me Again, proving that it is her song (after Lani did her own rendition in her first[?] album ).. She did some Beyonce songs. It was okay. Ogie was very entertaining. The bad thing... It's like ...she has done that before. i have heard those spiels before (like she is doing movies now, how she had gorgeous leading men...blah blah blah). Nothing really new except for what I mentioned above. I hope next time she comes back...she has prepared new reportoire,new costumes {tired of seeing her in gowns}, new band, new musical director. I think she needs some training so she can better carry herself. I mean she's good but there's always room for improvement.AGAIN, SHE DOESN'T HAVE TO BELT IT OUT ALL THE TIME. THERE WILL ALWAYS BE SINGERS WHO CAN BELT IT HIGHER THAN HER. SHE SHOULD JUST SING WITHIN HER RANGE . I STILL THINK SHE STILL HAS THE MAGIC BUT THE MAGIC IS FADING AWAY SLOWLY (WHICH I BELIEVE I WITNESSED IN ATLANTIC CITY ). LUV YAH REGINE!!!!!! The venue, I would say, is about 90% full. I have some positive & negative things to say about the show so hopefully I won't raise any eye brows. I didn't get there on time from nyc because of the traffic & the storm. However, judging the time we got there, it seems like the show started on time. Regine as usual was awesome. I enjoyed her slow renditions of "dadalhin" & "love again". I didn't enjoy her Beyonce segment of the show. Although, from her Beyonce & Otso-otso segments, I can tell that she's beginning to feel comfortable dancing. The show, in my opinion, looks more like a variety show rather than a concert. I felt like the show was created to make people laugh rather than display both their musical artistry. Some of the jokes have already been used from their previous concerts. I would rather see them spontaneous. I was hoping that Regine would sing a Josh Groban song since Josh was scheduled to have concert at Radio City that weekend. They should also offer something different on every city they visit. I'm sure some fans, go through great lengths to see more than one show while Regine is on tour. I also think that they overdid some of the video feeds. Oh and before I forget, some of their dancers are obviously not professional. Overall, I was disappointed for having to drive through all that traffic & storm just to see the show. I felt like $58 was not worth to see the show. My only reward was hearing her sing different renditions of "dadalhin" & "love me again" live. One thing for sure though, Regine can definetely do an otso-otso :-) I would love to see real friends Jaya & Regine do a US tour next time. I think I saw more Ogie than Regine. The whole Ocho-Ocho & Spaghetti by Regine was cute. Nice to see a different side of Regine. To me, Regine looks like she's not herself. Although the high note is still there, but the energy seems lacking a bit. Probably tired... I also wished she did some songs from her Drawn album. I think its one of the top 3 from all her albums. Its not really a "concert", its a show. So you really can't expect them to drag their high paid and better dancers from the Philippines can you. You really are a big fan of hers, aren't you? And you had a date too. hehe.. Anyone you want to tell us about? ( Just teasing.. ) ;-) Jun wonders : You didn't go back stage to meet her at least?! Didn't take the time to do that in person? It was a good time too. I'm sure that would have made the difference for you in the end. And you might have had the chance to tell her some of your thoughts yourself in person. Which may be the only way to tell her that kind of thoughts and suggestions. Rather than something she heard or read from media sources or someone outside her music circle. She might have pulled you aside to tell you something no one else knew about but would have explained her reasons why things have been the way its been lately. As a former music person my experiences have taught me when an artist is not doing as good as he/she normally would be and is showing an indication of an spiral pattern or trend, then I would start to consider the possibilities that there is something that is personal going on is pressing and taking alot of the artists time and thoughts. When that happens other things suffer. Like the creativity of her concerts. She's not taking the time she usually would to making it the cutting edge kind of show you know she would be trying to give us. Whatever it is, it does need to be addressed properly. But we as fans can be helpful with our kind assurances for the artist and most of all- with our heartful prayers for her. This may only be for this time period in her life. In my expereinces most of them were able to handle their personal problems and eventually jump right back in where they were before it started.
