Well if any of you guys watched the "Shining Through The Rain" special on MTV, You would know that Mariah can sing through the rain LIVE very well.....much better than Regine's version! This is the first time that I've actually heard Mariah sing TTR all LIVE and it was pretty damn close to the studio version! If you haven't heard or seen it...........I suggest you should! Mariah's voice with a lot of rest can still be better than Regine's!

Seems alot of people were surprised Carey can sing
just as good live. Good for her. Its her song. She
should be able to make it sound as good as can be.

Just like some of Reg's songs aren't sung good when
other singers sing them except her.

Regine's voice is no extraordinary, there is Sheryn, Dessa, Carol Banawa, Sarah, and even the gay Anton who can imitate Regine's vocal quality. Mariah's voice is extraordinary and she doesn't need to scream to show her vocal prowess. Even her whispery voice is driving me crazy what more if she used her whiny belting voice and ear splitting whistles? I bet Regine "must" scream to make her weak thin voice appear to be powerful but actually she's no longer singing when she's doing this kind of stuff. About the Trough the rain stuff, although regine did her best to sing that song, still, the original mariah carey version is the best!!!

I agree to that, her songs lately especially Against All Odds, TTR was technically enhanced to show her beltin power. The last part of AAO ay overlapping lalo na ang TTR the end part na matataas lahat kaya pagkinanta yung minus one nuon siguradong mukha kang naghahabol at nauubusan ng hininga kahit tama ang breathing mo at di ka pa kinakapos.
