Never in my life has any Filipino artist touched, inspired and impressed me as much as she has, and is still doing so. For me, Regine is the best, and will always be the best. At the same time, I always tell myself realistically that there will be other aspiring artists out there who are also full of talent, that are just waiting for their chance to take share of Regine's limelight. The very obvious aspirer is no other than Lani Misalucha. Lani has indeed garnered her own number of fans. Some of them are even Regine's fans that changed their hearts over to Lani. As a solid Regine fan, my attitude is to keep an open mind and accept the fact that not everybody can be Regine fans. The thing that really sucks though, are those Lani fans who has nothing better to do but to throw offensive statements to Regine and her fans. Regine fans are also guilty of this sometimes (including myself), but only because we feel the need to retaliate and prove them wrong. To Lani's fans, I would be a hypocrite to deny Lani's talent, for she will not have had this popularity if she doesn't have it (at the expense of Regine, LOL). My only complain with Lani's fans are their unreasonable attacks and remarks to Regine that are sometimes way out of line. If you, Lani fans, have nothing better to say about our Regine, keep it to yourself. Though a friendly, logical debate is always fun & stimulating, we need to keep it at an ethical, well-mannered level. So bring it on... :-) To Regine fans, we need to set the standards of quality fans by being role models. One of Regine's admirable traits is her humbleness. Let's do the same (just don't fuck with me, LOL). How about you? What's your attitude as a fan (Lani man o Regine)... There are Regine fans who are now Lani 'likers' as well. No doubt in my mind. But it'll be a real greehouse day in this earth before I'll believe there were Regine fan who aren't fans anymore just because they thought Lani's better. Or any other reason. All there is here are fans who are a pain in the butt. And Mike Siren Tutor is number one of them all. He'll act in any way just to make you think its true. But there are no Lani fans here. Therefore, competition is fiercer. Unfortunately, I think Lani's value positioning in the beginning of her career was one of "I'm better than Regine". That's the reason why Lani's fans don't tire of comparing her with Regine. It's the way they market Lani's talent. My advice: stop comparing yourself with Regine. Stop singing songs Regine is famous for even if it's clearly not in your vocal range. I was a big fan of Lani in her early days, when she was singing those songs that are really made for her voice and range. Now...I don't know. Though recently, she's making improvements. Yep, we believe they have been surfing this board and now are making MAJOR changes to Lani's - whatever.. And I'm talking big changes. Maria, I'm sorry.. but I didn't bother reading the rest of your post. You know why? Because for one I have never ever seen a music fan ( much less a female ) come into these boards unless they were a Regine fan. And like I said earlier- if you're a Regine fan most probably you're a Lani fan. But to have someone come into these boards and post who says she is neither? I have to ask you how you found your way in here in the first place! lol.. Personally who cares who can't reach what note or whatever? Regine is the number one female recording artist in the Philippines. And I'm talking right now. And Lani, dispite being a good singer DOES NOT have a decent hit song to her name. And in my book that makes her the number one FAKE female recording star. Especially when we found out that in an attempt to make her LIVE album a hit album someone some- where was stealing the sales tally of Regine's last two albums and padding them on Lani's.
