I saw the posting where Coco Lee said Regine was the
'Diva of all Divas!' and man .. that was real nice of her!

There was once a time we talked about Coco Lee and Regine.
But because there was no media info out there was no way
to show that Coco Lee not only knew who Regine was but
liked her. Alot!

Regine was working on a recording contract with Sony
Records before. But the deal feel through. But I heard
that Sony was determined to release an album in the U.S.
by an Asian artist. And they had Coco Lee under contract
in Asia. And they took her on.

I believe most of the songs on Coco Lee's U.S. release
would have pretty much been the same songs recorded if
Regine was the artist they signed.

The actual reasons why Sony USA didn't sign up Regine
then is one of the last great mysteries of the Song Bird
to me. It did seem like they had a major misunderstanding
about the terms and conditions of the contract. Its
possible that Mark Fiest the Regine album-2-be producer
made his own decision of a few details without getting
Reg's side full approval. But whatever it was that stopped
this deal from happening should be one of the last things
I'll be doing for the Inside Music Buzz when the times
comes to leave. Or else it'll leave that void and I won't
be able to move on without knowing.

I have tried to reach Mark Fiest several times. Even called
up his cousin's mother once. But he's hard to track down.
The latest word is he is producing several albums at this
time in the country with a newly formed independent local
record company.

Follow up story to a early post about Coco Lee and the
Song Bird. The source for some of my information came
from a Coco Lee friend who was handling the biggest fan
site on her at the time. Coco is a regular California
girl it sounded like. Her webber was very accessible.

hehe.. not like with us. I think the other Reg webbers
are always looking over my back for some reason.
