regine was again featured on cinema news one...i think the interview took place when she performed at the podium with willy cruz...she's so beautiful sa interview...ang ganda ng dress niya!..anyway, she's always beautiful naman.

she was asked if it's true that she backed out from the concert with lani misalucha...sabi niya hindi raw...it was lani raw who overlooked her schedule kasi si lani daw has to go to the us...the concert already had a date...sabi niya mga sometime may 2003 and they even had meetings already...freddie santos was supposed to be the director of the concert...sabi ni regine nanghihinayang daw siya kasi naisip na raw niya yung concert na yon pero hindi naman daw kasalanan yon ni lani...so hindi daw totoong nag back-out siya.

in a previous episode of cinema news one..regine was asked kung kaninong concert daw siya pupunta? kung ke martin or pops?...sabi niya me show din daw siya non pero she promoted both concerts...si regine lang yata ang kialla kong artist na nagpopromote for her friends...

I didn't know she was being 'rumored' to back out of
a show with Lani. Well, I wouldn't be the one to think
Regine tried to actually back-out. But I would make a
wild guess she had no problem with delaying it. Or
making it a less piority. You fans who been around know
when she agrees to something she'll most probably do it.
So looks like there will be a LANI-REGINE concert next year.

But I doubt anyone can convince me enough to not think
that Regine may not have wanted to do the show for some
personal reason of her own. But she seemed to have committed
to it anyway. Probably because she was felt she had too.
Since there were already articles in the newspapers talking
about that show all of a sudden. And I think Lani's camp
or her concert producer used that old trick 'well, its
already in the newspaper' to get Regine to agree when in
fact she may not have actually said yes yet.

Bery interesting indeed.

Its Lani and company who wants the concert. I'm willing
to bet it wasn't a Regine idea off the bat this time around.

But this is just a open talk between us girls. LOL..
Not some official thingy like some of the other postings.

But you have to wonder hard if this theory is a good one.
Because there was a sudden group of articles about a REG-
LANI concert a few months ago. And the articles were making
it look like Regine was pushing for the combined show. But
its only now that we finally see something in print about
her thoughts on it. And the articles made it look like the
show was already planned and ready to go soon.

We may have witness how LANI's side, camp or concert producer/
promoter used the media not as the usual announcement of
a show but as a manipulating tool. And I think we helped
it some by promoting the idea alot as well.

I should want to see such a show. It could be something
worthwhile to see. But I don't like the idea it may have
happened against the artist's wishes. And that bothers me.
Yet we can't expect Regine to admit something like that.

Let's keep our sharp eyes open as the planning progresses
just in case.

I'm always for artists to star with other artists. Regine
was a major influence for that kind of idea. But maybe
some of the up and coming singers would have been
more appropiate and in -line with her thinking. She
mentioned in a article how she likes to give new
singers a break in the business. Now that's the kind
of thinking that you won't find too many of the other
divas being compared on with her.

And Lani.. She confuses me alot.

For a artist who said she hates it when people compare her
to Regine (first artist to ever say something like that, no?)
She sure doesn't help prevent it from happening by doing
a show where you know that's exactly what the music fans
are going to do. Make comparisons all night about them!
