Having the National Museum as the venue for this concert has made me go, "hmmm". But after getting around Manila and reaching the place, the "hmmm" became a "wow". The stage was setup really well. There's a huge red "R" signature that decorated the whole stage. The production designer should get a pat on the back for that. ;o)

The only nuisance about this concert is that there was no seat number. So even though you paid 1500, still there is no guarantee that you will get a nice seat. By the way, we got a very good vantage point--right at the center!!! Cool!

The show started with many announcements, from Gina Lopez who is the director of the Children's Village (in Bulacan) to the guy who's related to the National Museum. I forgot his position there.

Then it was time to start the show. The San Miguel Chorale and Philharmonic orchestra played the same intro that they used before in one of Reg's shows at the Sunken Garden. I remember that from the "Isang Pasasalamat" concert.

Reg came out wearing a very nice yellow gown. She sang, "Sing". It was nicely done, complete with funny gestures. I think this song was done by Barbra in one of her concerts. Anyhoo, Dadalhin was next. I wanted her to sing this song so i was glad that they included this in her repertoire.

The first guest was RJ Rosales. They did a Broadway duet--the same duet that Janno and Reg did in her "Isang Pasasalamat" concert. Nice memory I have! The people loved it when Reg sang "Memory". Her voice was in very good condition tonight.

After a few more songs, the second batch of guests arrived, Roselle, Bituin, and Carol. They sang "Sana Maulit Muli". It was the funniest point because Bituin messed up with her lyrics considering "Sana..." is a very common song. Among the three ladies, Carol was the accepted one by the audience. That girl can sing! Regine came out wearing a new gown. They all sang "The Best of My Love". Another song that was included in her "Isang..." concert years back.

Then she sang a medley of her R2K songs. This was the part when Reg approached the audience and did her famous bonding with the people. She even went out of her way to sing for the other people who didn't get tickets and were just listening outside the gates/fences. That was kind of her!

She then went to Mr. C and they did a medley of Levi Celerio's compositions like "Saan Ka Man Naruruon, Sinta", "Sa Ugoy ng Duyan", and "Pipit" (Reg's favorite). At one point, she even sang on top of the grand piano. ;o)

Then it was time to change clothes again. This time, one of the highlights of the evening, she sang "On the Wings of Love" (with an operatic tone) wearing a beautiful red gown. This was followed by a medley of 80's songs--At Seventeen, Sandra, Never Been to Me. She also did Ryan's, "Sometime, Somewhere" while sitting down!!!

Ogie came out and they did a medley of his compositions. It was nice to hear "Hanggang Ngayon" done in front of National Museum. He then sang his hits!

Reg then came out wearing a pink gown. She sang a medley of ABBA's songs. Then she sang a medley of "Yentl" songs--"Papa, Can You Hear Me?" and "A Piece of Sky".

As an encore, she did "What Kind of Fool" sitting down!!!

It was one of her memorable concerts. I truly enjoyed a lot!!!

Nice review there, Regine fan
Readers to this area will appreciate reading it very much.

Oh, well..
It was for charity.
In a regular Regine run concert the seats and tickets
would be numbered. Sounds like Regine needs a good assistant
for those kind of 'small things.'

I'LL DO IT!

lol
