Subject: Fire baton

Hi. I am a High School Freshmen majorette in New Jersey. I am trying to get the band director to let me twirl fire. To do this, we need as much information as we can get about any dangers, how many girls twirl fire across the country, if any one has ever gotten hur, and when did people start twirling fire batons etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
