Separation of Church and State? Are you speaking of the Greek-archetypal form of the democratic government? Or, are you referring to it's much"praised" American version?

Do you not know that the Greeks were lambasted by St. Paul (that is, if you believe in the Bible) as people who endlessly seek "man's wisdom" but not that of God's?

Americans give much praise to Greek "wisdom" but have failed to see that Ancient Greeks view the Wisdom of God is mere foolishness (I Corinthians 1:23), as according to St. Paul.

Furthermore, are you aware that the Ancient Greek Thinkers and Statesmen often consulted "oracles" when making important political or social decisions during their time? If not then please read the works of Plato, Euripides and Sophocles and find out, OK?

In this account, is the American version of the Greek-archetypal structure of governance soundly based? NO! For Ancient Greeks didn't separate their Church and State, did they?

Now, setting the first argument aside, let's take a close look at the American system of Government. Are you not having difficulties with your own society nowadays?

For instance, where can one find young children suing their own parents for disciplining them? And, where can you find 8 to 12-year-olds children gunning down their own parents, neighbors, co-students and teachers in homes, communities and schools? Next, where can one find the most number of husbands killing their wives for "insurance"? Also, where can you find the most number of the world's biggest companies go under because of "unethical accounting practices"? Even more, where can you find citizens calling their preambles or "pledge of allegiance" unconstitutional? Worse, where can you find the most number of young delinquents, drug-dependents, prostitutes, serial killers, pedophiles, homosexuals, bigots and closet-racists, back-sliding pastors, gangsters, etc., etc. in the world?

Where else but in the great ol' U.S. of A., right?

If so, what makes the American System of Gov't so great? Is it because of the "separation of Church and State"? Or is it because of its economic and military might?

The Philippine society adopts much from the U.S. including the very problems I just listed. Such was unheard of in the 1980's but its happening now in the land of Cardinal Sin.

Please be reasonable. Don't contend that these problems are happening worldwide 'coz I don't see them in most "underdeveloped" societies who do not extol America's example of governance. Neither should you dare reason that these problems are the result of Americans' having "freedom of expression" 'coz young delinquents, bigots, pedophiles, drug addicts and wife killers are prosecuted in the U.S. of A.

Lastly, do you believe in the Bible? Or are you among those who find fault in things they do not understand? Why do I ask? Because, in the Old Testament Israel's Statesmen, Judges and Kings only succeed when they consulted God before acting through His Prophets!

Hups! Don't tell me that the Old Testament is "biblical times" or "it happened a long time ago", nor that "ancient practices are not suited for the CHANGING TIMES of this modern age" 'coz you'll just be belittling your American System of Government, and the separation of Church and State. Remember, democracy dates back to the ancient times. And wisemen know that we still live in Biblical times, 'coz Jesus has not yet returned, if you catch my drift... But I guess you're not among those so called "saints" in 1 Corinthians 6:2-3 who can judge justly, are you?

Lest I forget, include in the list, where can you find a people whose President was nearly impeached because of "sexual improprieties"? The Great U.S.A., correct?
