Yes, it outrages me how we are ignored in the American media. Yet, Filipinos have been here for many years. Even in those extreme home makeover shows (even those on Oprah), I'll roll over if they ever do a home that belongs to a Filipino family...and don't tell me that there are no talented actors and actresses out there that can stand neck to neck with the ones Hollywood honors. We are just not included and there has to be a solution to it. Yes, some type of protest is needed but it has to be something that is in-your-face and drastic. These people that deny being pure Filipino worsen the situation too because just when our race can be featured, someone deems it not good enough to stand alone. I'm aware that being "pure Filipino" means that you already have a mixture of the different races that it consists of, so why not just say I'm Filipino?

A mega-proud Filipino American
