My Goodness!!! Whatever happened to the Awir Group or the Gabriela fighting for justice for women? Are they making any progress at all? I hope they are not being intimidated by anybody...otherwise, the system in PI, all the injustices that women suffer would remain the same.
You know what I was thinking? Maybe you should ask help from Cardinal Sin. The good Cardinal of the Philippines is in to POLITICS (whether he accepts it or not)anyway.Instead of the Cardinal helping the elite and the rich people about their political problems, who ironically have all the "moneys" in the Philippines to back up whatever they want to do in their lives, ask the good Cardinal to back up the AWIR and the Gabriela and tell him to stop minding the Phil. Governement. There should be a separation of the State and the church. Backing up the Awir and Gabriela would be something very Christian to do. What about the NUNS? The SSPS or the RVM or Daughters of St. Paul? They are women, too and even though they're not married, they should empathize with all the women who are victims of abuse. The Catholic sect is one of the wealthiest (if not the wealthiest). They spend sooo much money defending their priests ( who are child molesters) from all these lawsuits. The lawsuits are going left and right and Catholic is spending millions for the pay offs. I am sure there are some victims there in PI, too but scared to come forward. But that's another Gabriela's assignment. So, why not? Maybe the NUNs and Cardinal Sin would be able to help?
