Nah... my theory:

It all finishes at strip 2500. 2525, 2552 or 2560 at the latest.

There's only so much of this one man can make after all. And only so many archive image links a page can handle, too.

Why not end it on a nice round number?
Going out in a manner totally unlike e.g. Kid Radd or Unicorn Jelly, too. Not wrapping it so neatly. Just crunching to a sudden, but preprogrammed and plot referenced halt.

Maybe rebooting to triangle and robert 2: This time it's MS Paint XP :D
