I didn't read your whole post..., but it's moot unless you cite how Cal Poly fared vs the rest of the BWC. There's a thing called the Sears Cup. I am pretty sure Cal Poly traditionally does well - or at least the past few seasons. Have you seen the rankings on the BWC website? I haven't because I don't like their site and don't visit it.

I think you're right about Ellerson though. When I have gone to a football game I do look for sideline action... and that would be the coach doing his job there. If there's no coach there - no HEAD coach - the team looks unorganized and directionless. It's not a confidence booster at all for the fan. How can fans support the team from the stands if the coach can't on the sideline?
