This is a guy who we are trying to get from maryland.

Bill Lewit's Cecil C.C. program of Northeast, Md., enjoyed another terrific campaign in 2002-2003, going 27-7 and making the NJCAA Division II Final Four.

While a number of Seahawk sophomores have already cast their college choices, a trio of Cecil players are still looking for four-year schools to attend this fall.

Headlining that list is 6-2, 200 pound point guard Brian Taylor.

Taylor averaged 14 points, four rebounds and 4.1 assists per game for the Seahawks in 2002-2003. He got to the free throw line 145 times this past season and knocked down 87 percent of those attempts.

In an upset victory over Allegany J.C. at Allegany, Taylor dropped 22 points on the Trojans.

"Brian is very explosive," Lewit said. "He's a great athlete who is very powerful."

Lewit said he has fielded calls from Pittsburgh, Cal Poly SLO, Maine and Montana in recent weeks regarding Taylor.

Taylor will need three credits this summer in order to complete his degree requirements at Cecil. He is expected to be finished by July 15.
