I did not attend the game but pulling the starters early is very strange unless they got into foul trouble. Further, Bromely's was rather conservative with substitutes vs. UCSB which ended in victory.

The only thing that comes to mind is the fact that 10 team members reported having the flu or a cold during the week. Maybe he thought the players were weaken by sickness.
