Pandora's Box is opening up something that should never have been opened - the fact that someone with an openly deviant life style every got nominated for a position of church leadership. It sets a bad precedence for other denominations to mimic. I also find it interesting the response of the spokenman you quoted. Even churches that believe in sacred tradition (like Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodoxy) would not blantently disregard holy scripture. And the comment that the Holy Spirit was leading the group to truth is absurd. How do they know they are correctly hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit?

Has anyone seen the recent movie “Recent Episcopal Church USA ordinances”? Critics from the major Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and mainstream protestant churches give this movie an average rating of one star. Imagine if you will that the US government had the same governmental authority as the monarchy of England. And picture the state of California being evenly divided into democrat and republican camps. Then suppose the democratic constituency passed a law legalizing medical marijuana, while the rest of the states opposed it. Now you have some idea of the movie plot. The Anglican Communion is largely conservative, consisting of about thirty eight church member groups, of which the Episcopal Church USA is one. And the current head of the Church of England is more like the Queen of England. Now I am looking forward to the sequel, where the conservatives threaten to form their own group. And there will be some plot twists when the conservatives withdraw financial support. State turned for the sequel entitled “Aftermath of the Ordinances”. This one should get at least three stars.
