For a catholic bible my favorite is the 1968 Jerusalem Bible. Not the new one, it went inclusive.

Right now I am trying to get a copy of the Lamsa translation of the Peshitta. With the exception of the Dead Sea Scrolls it is the old translation available that has the entire Old and New Testaments.
