Check out the Fairield women's forum. They are already assuming a FF victory in the rematch and gloating that they will then win all tiebreakers. Also acting like the OT win against an injury and sickness decimated women's squad was a blowout and that the ladies were "exposed" as a two player team. Can't wait for a full-strength Marist team to pay a return visit to Fairfield, especially after BG has had a chance to devour and breakdown the film of the OT loss.

They got their win. But the key quote to me...after the game Joe Frager said "that's about the best [Fairfield] can play." And they still couldn't beat Marist in 40 minutes. And Marist wasn't anywhere near full strength. We'll see how many more perfect games they have in them.

So let them talk. They earned their win and they should enjoy it. Just like they'll earn their whoopin' at Alumni Hall in a short while.

Missed the part about the tiebreakers, but had to do a double take about the "two player team". I really like what Frager is doing to revive that program and they have good cause to be optimistic after the win, but that was clearly over the top. Geehan shutdown Fitz? If 23 and 9 is throwing a blanket over her I can't wait to see what Rache does when she has a so-so game. Geesh!

Two player team? Two all-star team is more accurate. Goodness, Fitz had 6 points last night in 15 minutes of playing time and the ladies won by 24. I don't remember Jules going for 40 either. 19-2, must the best two person team of all time.

Frankly, tiebreakers are meaningless. All signs point to Marist and FF meeting in the finals anyway. Neither are trying to avoid the PIG for goodness sakes. They are clearly the two best teams in the MAAC right now.

Siena and FF, back to back, were their two worse perfomances in a while against league foes. They raised their offense to match their defense in the last 3 minutes of the Siena game to escape with a W, and they never seemed to be able to figure out Frager's game plan and the FF kids executed like pros to beat Marist. They've picked it up since then and I expect a good performance against the always tough Gaels tomorrow. And the injuries and such are clearing up. The stretch run is upon us, and we all know what that means, right? It's Girlzaga Time!

If FF wants to chat it up, they better be sure their girls can hold their edge when the spotlights come on. We have pretty good cause to think that Marist will.

I predict a 16 point win at Fairfield. With it going back and forth for a while, and then a deep deep bench, which will be back to normal by then, pulling ahead at the end. MAAC championship will be against Iona again, Fairfield has used up their one perfect game, they got none left, and will not make it to finals

Just to clarify, 16 point win for Marist

Glad you cleared that up. I wasn't sure what you meant, what with Marist being only a two player team, and all.(LOL) And with FF having the best 8 player rotation in the MAAC with no one else even being close (see aforementioned FF forum)(ROTFL) I thought maybe you felt FF would win by 16. I know those dolts over there expect it.
