Rediculous. Shouldn't Brady and Murray have known his eligibility status when he signed him?? Why is this coming out now?

calculated risks. Sometimes it works out for you, other times it doesn't, right? Kind of fits into the short term thinking of Brady's last two years.

If he's back we know who the point guard is, if not, there will be a new kid on the block.

Kinda sucks it's coming out now. You would think Marist knew about this for awhile but Chuck did not recruit based on this knowledge. Hall is the only PG coming back. Alexis, Carter, Rusin and can't play that spot, obviuosly Drummond was a big get in the post but the only players with any PG experience other than Hall would be Kaba and Prescott. And from what for all their strengths, distributing is not at the top of those lists. Both guys project as 2-3 type players in the MAAC. So this leaves Martin needing to sign a reliable PG in the late signing period, if Devezin cannot come back.

and Scout did also when he went to BC. Have him listed as both guard positions and #38 overall coming out of High School. At worst it means one more young guy gets more minutes. If you believe they are a couple of years away, it's not a huge issue.

But bottom line is do I want DD back, absolutely, because it makes them better next year.

I actually mentioned this last summer, Murray had been after Brady for certain paper work for a year and Brady kept assuing him that it was coming - when Brady left he told Murray that he didnt have the paper work needless to say this made Murray rather pissed off, they have been working since last summer to get this rectified. Accordong to Murray Brady looked straight in the eye and flat out lied

That's why dealing with transfers is a waste of time. I know its a necessary evil but most turn out to be more trouble than they're worth. Man, I cant wait this nonsense to end. Chuck is still cleaning up the old regime's mess. Times like this make me miss Magarity's mediocre consistency.

and it works out well for Marist and Devezin.

Hey Andy, maybe I should start using this quote as my by-line over on the MAAC Board.

“But I think I and my staff have much more to accomplish at Marist College before we can even entertain the idea of another opportunity.”

You say you dont like transfers - u think we would be as excited abount next years prospects without Kaba and Drummond - and it is still very possible that David will be back - its not having a transfer come in its knowing who and when. Martin knows that.

Transfers are a nice place to visit but you dont want to live there. Theres always extra baggage involved with them. Theres always the question as to why they left. Playing time, differences with coach or home sick. There's not too many Roshown McLeod's or Lamont Middleton's that come here to upgrade.

Great info Andy on the Brady lie stuff. I don;t mind transfers at all either. 1 or 2 D-I transfers are worth the gamble. Andy's right...the coach and AD just need to have a clue about the eligibility.

Man that former coach and Siena grad really stuck it to Marist.
I wonder if this was part of a plan conceived years ago in Loudonville? LOL

I do recall the discussion about DD's eligibility when he got here but thought it was resolved. Now I read that the former dirt bag coach withheld some paperwork from the AD.
The fact that the info about DD is coming back out now causes me to ask a question. Maybe this question is totally from outer space but I have to ask.
Is it possible that now that Coach Martin has witnessed DD's inconsistency and total lack of leadership on the court he would not mind if DD plays his last game for Marist in a couple weeks????

I hope he comes back as he has the talent to be the one of the top 3 points next year with a full year in the system. I agree with CT, I don't like transfers. But others are right in that the select transfers are fine. I just don't want a continuos transfer thing like Loyola has going on.

Don't believe everything you read - especially when it involves Murray. When people get out from under his regime - you find out what an a-hole he really is. Don't trust Murray.
