Keep in mind that scholarships are renewable every year. Often a coach will "encourage" underachieving players that it might be in their best interests to transfer elsewhere. Especinally if a coach has a recruit in the wings that might be more productive.

Not saying it is going to happen, but I wouldn't be suprised if it did.

That happened to a player named Carter a few years ago most likely and has happened at other schools in the MAAC ALOT recently. That is a path Marist should not follow. If you offer a player a scholarship, honor it as long as the player wants to stay unless he embarrasses the school legally or something like that.

Marist didn't take Carter's ship away. Brady told him his playing time was going to be less and suggested a D2 school. Carter wanted to play and that is why he transferred. This was the right thing for Brady and Carter to do. At the end of the day, however, Carter could have stayed at Marist and kept the scholarship.
