Defense couldn't get a 4th quarter stop. Little to no pressure on QB. Defense did great against the run, but couldn't stop the pass.

Again, so close. That win would have totally turned around the season. Bucknell is a solid team and will probably be playing for the PL title.

If they play this way against Bryant and Iona, they can win both games. My fingers are crossed!!!

thats my biggest issue with running the 3-3-5 defense we have moved towards. very tough to pressure the qb with a 3 man rush and the game I saw it didnt seem like we blitzed enough guys to get pressure on the qb. this one had to hurt as Bucknell is a very solid team

a 3-3-5. interesting. It stopped Bucknell's run game, but couldn't get pressure on the qb. This qb has nearly the top rated pass efficiency in I-AA.

Bottomline is this team is better than their record indicates.

yeah its like what WVU runs. ive heard the qb pressure issue from many people who have been to a lot of games. the game I saw was the same story but the qb wasnt leading the nation in pass efficiency.

Bucknell is picked for 6th in the 7-team Patriot League (barely ahead of Georgetown) and got zero votes for any higher place. Their OL in Saturday's game often consisted of two frosh and two sophs with an average weight of less than 265. In short, they are not a strong team and will not be challenging for the Patriot League first division, never mind the title.

It was interesting that Bucknell for three quarters insisted on unsuccessfully running the ball as their OL couldn't move the Red Fox line at all. Bucknell did this despite having the nations's #1 1-AA passer. When they finally let him throw the ball in the fourth quarter, you saw what happened.
