Subject: Internal Image Structure

We store images in a database. When reading the image from disk, putting into the database (using ImageScrollbox.WriteToStream) and retrieving it afterwards (using ImageScrollbox.ReadFromStream), image size (i.e. the bytes read from the database) has changed as opposed to the original image on disk. Example: A .bmp file on disk uses 0.5MB. It is stored into the database. Upon retrieving from the database, only 0.1MB are read.
For compatibility reasons (accessing the image in the database with other tools), it would be interesting to know the internal structure of the image in the database.
