So it really shouldn't come as a surprise to people that he's not much liked down at Hawthorn.

To be honest, I don't really have anything againt him. What's slightly irritating is the way every man and his dog is sinking the boot into Hawthorn - in fact it's a little bit surreal.

As if any other club wouldn't have kicked up a shitstorm over having their best player suspended for a perfectly executed hip and shoulder.

As if any other coach wouldn't have been fuming that an opposition player had come off the line at the start of a quarter and targeteed the most influential inside midfielder of the game.

And Clarkson was actually composed in the post match interview and apologised the next day. Yet the Age has dug up Ian Aitken who has a go at Clarkson for something he did decades ago when he was 19 - and nothing to say about the fact Brad Sewell is undergoing facial reconstuction.

On here, we have Dr J using this to call Hawthorn hypocrites and sneer at last year's premiership. This from a guy whose club went to court to get Dunkley to play in a Flag - not to mention Barry Hall?

It's all a bit bizarre really.
