Look I didnt watch a lot of football last year. Let alone Hawthorn games. But how much of hawthorn's sucess comes down to tactics. They have many good players, and I think would be as sucessful without rolling zones. But they are playing this rolling zone, and perhaps got a fair edge with teams that failed to cope withit (ie collingwood ).

So this year most sides will have put some time and thought into how to play this rolling zone and counter measures. I havent seen enough of Hawthorn to know if they can switch to plan B, or this rolling zone is all the egss in one basket.

It MAY be that sides are tactically ready for hawthorn and they might well not be as sucessful.
