But seriously ... why should I need it? Posters here certainly wouldn't want to be bothered thinking about the Crows when the Crows are not anywhere near in contention ... given that the Crows are barely visible even when they might be coming into contention. So why would they want to hear from me if the Crows are down and out?

Just be thankful that I know when the Crows aren't in any sort of form and I don't bother to post here (and bother you all) during those periods.

BTW ... does anyone remember the last time the Saints were on a fantastic run, and the other top of the ladder sides were Geelong and Bulldogs and, incidentally, the Crows were bumbling along but somehow managed to scrape into fourth spot by the end of the season?

What happened then, can anyone recall?

I'm just trying to re-enforce the "over-optimist" view of me on here. None of you know me from a bar of soap, but you've all got me pegged, right?

BTW, what supporter isn't optimistic for their team's chances? Wouldn't be much fun if you held no hope for the side you followed, surely?
