Subject: Handball - Is there a problem?


What is a legit handball these days. In every game there a dozens of pretty much throws, the odd one is called but thats it. In part the players are very slick and a maybe half the ones that look suss actually are Ok when looked at in slow mo. But only half.

Is it just too hard for the Umps to pick the bad from the good? Currently they are only calling the ones they know are bad, and are getting it right 95% at least in the the calls they make. But what about the calls they don't?

Should dew just live with it? Or is it a problem? Personally I don't like the throwing and would like to see it gone, but I can't see the umps doing much better than they are, many I think are wrong, slow mo shows as OK, almost just as many slow mo shows as throws.

I think we have to live with it, The stamp it out would require a hands in the back like zealousness that would take a couple of seasons it work. There would be massive injustices throughout the period. And I still think some players are actually just that slick it looks like a throw when it isn't. There are plenty of throws disguised at handball but I think it's just too hard to pick , and for good or for ill we have to live with it.

Others got thoughts?
